Their teams of subject matter experts, engineers, program management professionals design and deliver Audiovisual, LED lighting, gunshot detection, facial and license plate recognition, SMART Waste management, thermal and chemical sensors, all with predictive and prescriptive analytics solutions for facilities, local governments, nonprofits, stadiums, and events venues!
This is the second SOY award for Tekconnx. Their first was in 2015, and they’ve previously been honored by CRMSDC as Top 100 MBE’s (2016 & 2017).
“It’s a huge honor to be named as the Class I Supplier of the Year by an organization that has played such an important role in our growth and success,” said Williams. He works tirelessly to represent and advocate on behalf of MBEs nationwide on the Council’s Executive Committee. Williams is serving in his fourth term as Chairman of the Minority Business Enterprise Input Committee (MBEIC). Williams also serves as the National MBEIC Treasurer, and on the Board of Directors of the Black Entrepreneurs Hall of Fame.
“ There are absolutely some good things that have happened during a global pandemic!” said Williams. “Our patent was awarded last fall, and now this recognition for our efforts and both are testaments to our teams, our clients, partners, and our shared commitment to doing high quality work that makes a difference, especially during a time of unprecedented challenges.
“We thank CRMSDC for this award, and applaud the flexibility, tenacity, and hard work of all our fellow minority business owners who are all winners that make up this community.”
“We congratulate and extend the Capital Region Minority Supplier Development Council’s well wishes to TekConnX as winners of the Supplier of the Year award,” said Rupert Warner of the USPS, Chair of the Nomination Committee for CRMSDC. “Everyone should take a great deal of pride in knowing the important role they have played in helping build the minority business community.”
